Ideation Records launch

Ideation Records is a new experimental electronic label based in Scotland.

Over the last year we have focused on bringing the truly experimental to Edinburgh, showcasing some of the producers of the best breakcore, gabba, IDM, glitch and dark dnb, from around the world, at our monthly club night Audacious. It is now time to move beyond the dance floor.

With few boundaries other than musical ability, Ideation Records aims to bring together the best of a global scene, seeking out and working with artists from all around the world to bring the listener a truly innovative and experimental sound.

We officially launch the label on the 26th of March along with our first series of releases, including the sexy 12” ‘Yes, No, Maybe’ e.p. from Jonny3snares and our epic CD compilation, ‘Beats for Bassbins and Braincells’ . To celebrate we are hosting a very special night at Edinburgh Art College’s ‘Wee Red Bar’, featuring some of the pick of the Ideation Records catalogue and our very special guest and all round legend, Wrong Music’s Shitmat.

As well as Mr Shitmat, there will be performances from Bedford’s Microphyst and Jonny3Snares, who hails from distant Cornwall, as well as Audacious’ reigning monarch and Edinburgh breakcore luminary ‘King Tom’.
