“I grew up in the South East (of England) in a village called Minster, where the music scene was nothing special. I was into all sorts of music; from Jungle and drum’n'bass to ska and death metal.
Me and my mates decided to all learn instruments and make a band — so we did. I learned to play the drums and we made a band; it was a laugh. This was the start of a very music-orientated lifestyle. Since learning the drums I have learned piano, guitar, various other instruments and have been in a total of six different bands. But now I prefer to work alone — I make my own rules with music.
I’ve been producing electronic music for around four years now, and I can officially say that I’m obsessed by it. If I’m not at work, I’m pretty much guaranteed to be in my studio. I barely even go out anymore, haha.
I started out recording my band on a very poor music program (that I’m too embarassed to mention) and then got into the experimental world, trying to make the strangest sounds possible. After a year or so, I moved onto Ableton and now use Logic Pro 8 for recording and composing.
I would state the artists that currently influence me the most, but the list would go on and on. I listen to every type of music — I appreciate all music for what it is. Since moving to the South West, things have been slowly pushing forward. I’ve done various live shows including Plymouth, Bristol, Newquay, Exeter, Devon and Penzance. Mainly staying in the South West, but moving further afield now. That’s my musical life.”
